My Journey to Freelancing: Supporting Women in Business

My journey to freelancing began with a desire for a more flexible way of working that could accommodate my family commitments. After completing my studies in Food Marketing Management at Sheffield Hallam University, I spent many years working in category management and customer marketing in the FMCG industry. However, after starting a family, I left the corporate world and explored alternative career paths.

With my marketing and customer management background, I knew I had valuable skills to offer to businesses that needed administrative and marketing support. Becoming a freelance virtual assistant allowed me to work on my terms while pursuing a fulfilling career. I set up my business in January 2021, and I'm proud to be able to help other businesses grow and succeed while also being able to balance my priorities.

Throughout my career, I've gained over 15 years of experience in business support, administration, and marketing through various roles in manufacturing, retail, training and coaching services, and online marketing businesses. This breadth of experience enables me to bring a wide range of skills to the table, ensuring that I can offer high-quality support to all my clients. Most importantly, I understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, especially when you have a family to care for. By offering flexible, reliable support to businesses, I hope to help other women achieve their goals while finding fulfilment in their personal lives.

On a personal level, I'm a wife and mum and step-mum to four amazing kids. I'm also a lifelong learner, a fitness enthusiast, and a sports lover (go Leeds Rhino's and Yorkshire Girls Cricket!). I'm passionate about travelling and exploring new places whenever I can.

As a virtual assistant, I aim to help female business owners take control of their visibility by handling their marketing, content creation, and general admin tasks. I believe in providing a calm and professional approach while constantly challenging myself to learn and grow. I strive to build genuine connections with my clients.

If you need more time and support, don't hesitate to drop me a line or book a call. Let's work together to help you achieve your goals while maintaining the balance and flexibility you need to succeed professionally and personally.
